A Ride There LLC is a marketplace platform that connects customers with independent transportation providers (drivers). As the first initiative of The Gig Connex, we empower transportation providers to set their own rates, giving you the flexibility to negotiate pricing directly with your chosen provider.
About A Ride There
A Ride There LLC is a driver-owned transportation marketplace built to put power in the hands of those who make rides possible: the drivers themselves. We call them Transportation Providers, because they are business owners — not gig workers. This is just the beginning.
Unlike traditional rideshare platforms, A Ride There is not a Transportation Network Company (TNC). Instead, it operates as a marketplace, connecting riders and transportation providers directly. This model removes unnecessary middlemen and gives providers:
Because A Ride There is a marketplace, it is not subject to the per-vehicle fees or insurance requirements that TNCs face. This reduces overhead and allows providers to operate more profitably and independently.
However, all Transportation Providers must carry personal auto insurance, and it's important to inform your insurance company that you operate as an independent transportation provider to ensure proper coverage.
Founded by Jeanett Napier, a Michigan-based driver with over 5,000 completed rides, A Ride There was born from firsthand frustration with declining pay, unfair deactivations, and lack of control over earnings. Jeanett started the company during a deactivation period caused by a state system merger that temporarily halted background checks.
A Ride There is currently in development and growing its early community through surveys and a no-cost waitlist for both drivers and riders. The feedback collected will shape the final platform and demonstrate real demand to funders and partners.
This is not just another app. It’s a movement to empower, redefine ownership, restore respect, and build a future where transportation providers have true freedom to serve, earn, and grow on their terms.
Help shape the future of the gig economy and a more equitable distribution of wealth — join the waitlist: Provider Waitlist or Rider Waitlist.
