Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy – A Ride There Platform

A Ride There LLC (“ART,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a platform and marketplace for transportation services. These Terms govern your use of the ART Platform. By creating an account, booking a ride, offering transportation, or browsing the site, you agree to these Terms.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You may register as a Rider or a Transportation Provider. Your use of the Platform must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.

ART is a marketplace and technology platform that facilitates connections between Riders and independent Transportation Providers.

• ART does not provide rides and is not a licensed Transportation Network Company (TNC).
• Transportation Providers are not employees or agents of ART, nor independent contrators.
• Riders and Transportation Providers are responsible for negotiating and fulfilling their own service agreements.

For Riders:

• Provide accurate pickup/drop-off info.
• Be ready at the agreed time.
• Follow ART’s Etiquette and Rider Conduct Policies.

For Transportation Providers:

• Offer timely, safe, and professional service.
• Keep your availability and contact info updated.
• Follow ART’s Etiquette and Provider Conduct Policies.

For All Users:

• Do not use the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Respect all other users.

• Each Transportation Provider sets their own rates.
• Rides are not guaranteed until payment is made.
• Once paid, the Transportation Provider’s calendar is blocked for:
  • Travel to the rider
  • The ride itself
  • A 15-minute grace period

A Ride There LLC suggests all rides be pre-paid, but Riders and Providers may negotiate terms independently.

Pending rides may be overbooked by a paid ride.

Each Transportation Provider sets their own cancellation policy.

ART recommends the following standard:

• If canceled after payment but before pickup, half the fare may be forfeited, and the rest may be refunded or held as credit.
• If the rider no-shows or cancels last-minute, no refund is guaranteed.

Please review each Provider’s policy before booking.

Users may leave reviews. Reviews must be honest, respectful, and free of harassment or false claims.

ART may:

• Remove reviews that violate our policies.
• Suspend users who abuse the review system.

ART is not responsible for:

• The conduct of any Rider or Transportation Provider
• Personal belongings left in vehicles
• Accidents, delays, or losses

Your use of the Platform is at your own risk. ART’s role is limited to providing the connection and technology.

The Platform includes a safety command feature:

• Say "Hey ART, help" to alert authorities and share your location.

This feature is designed to help protect both Riders and Providers in emergency situations.

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please review it to understand how we collect, store, and use your information.

Users may not:

• Harass or threaten others
• Impersonate others or use fake accounts
• Use scraping tools or reverse-engineer the Platform
• Attempt to bypass safety features

Violation may result in account suspension and/or legal action.

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that:

• Violates these Terms
• Receives repeated complaints
• Endangers the safety of the community

Users may also request account deletion at any time.

Dispute should be handle with the provider and rider.  

• ART's involvement in disputes may result in permanet or temporary suspension of all accounts involved.
• If a dispute arises that cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to mediation or arbitration in the State of Michigan.

All content, branding, design, software, logos, and technology used on or made available through the A Ride There Platform are the exclusive property of A Ride There LLC or its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to:

• The A Ride There name and logo
• The Platform’s software and code
• Custom features, tools, badges, and dashboards
• All original text, graphics, and designs

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Platform
• Use any branding, trademarks, or proprietary software without written consent
• Resell or sublicense any part of the Platform
   

A Ride There LLC retains all rights not expressly granted.

Any unauthorized use may result in account termination and legal action.

The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google Maps, navigation tools, payment processors). A Ride There LLC is not responsible for the content, policies, or security of any third-party service. Use them at your own discretion.

Transportation Providers are solely responsible for:

• Reporting and paying applicable taxes
• Securing appropriate licenses, insurance, or permits
• Complying with all local, state, and federal regulations
   

A Ride There LLC does not withhold taxes or issue tax documents unless required by law.

A Ride There LLC is committed to equal access and a respectful experience for all users. Discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, or any protected class is strictly prohibited and may result in account removal.

We strive to provide reliable access to the Platform but may perform updates or experience outages. ART is not responsible for any losses or delays caused by downtime or technical issues.

Transportation Providers are independent businesses, not employees, agents, independent contractors or representatives of A Ride There LLC. 

Providers control their own pricing, availability, and service agreements. ART merely facilitates connections between users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

 We collect information in the following ways:

• Account Info: Name, email, phone number, profile picture, payment method, service preferences
• Service Info: Pickup/drop-off locations, availability, ride details
• Reviews & Messages: Feedback, ratings, support requests, internal messages
   

• Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device ID
• Usage Data: Pages visited, actions taken, time spent on Platform
• Location Data: GPS or location services when using the app for rides or navigation
   

For Transportation Providers

• Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal)
• Navigation services (e.g., Google Maps)

For Riders

A Ride There LLC does not collect or store credit card, debit card, or bank account information.

• All payments are processed through third-party payment platforms selected and managed by each Transportation Provider.
• When you, the Rider make a payment, your financial details are transmitted directly to the Provider’s chosen gateway (e.g., Stripe, Square, PayPal), and governed by their respective privacy and security policies. 

We use your information to:

• Provide, schedule, and coordinate transportation services
• Facilitate payments between Riders and Transportation Provider
• Customize your user experience and preferences
• Communicate updates, offers, and service-related alerts
• Monitor usage and improve platform performanc 
• Ensure safety and prevent fraud
• Respond to legal obligations and requests from law enforcement

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your data with:

• Transportation Providers (for Riders) and Riders (for Transportation Providers) to make the connection.
• Service providers who support our platform (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics)
• Law enforcement if legally required or to protect someone’s safety
• Successors in case of a merger, sale, or reorganization of ART

 You may:

• Access or update your account information at any time
• Disable location services via your device settings (note: this may affect service quality an ARTs  AI emergency service)
• Delete your account by contacting support
• Opt out of promotional emails (service-related emails may still be sent)

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. While no method is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Please note:
A Ride There LLC does not collect, process, or store payment card or banking information. All payments are processed directly through third-party platforms set up by each Transportation Provider. Riders submit payment information directly to the Provider’s secure payment gateway. ART never has access to your credit card or banking details. 

Our Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we’ve collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

Our Platform is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the Platform from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S. 

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance.
