Transportation Providers Suggested Cancellation Policy
We know that plans can change, and we understand. If you need to cancel, we encourage you to do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time whenever possible.
If canceling 24 hours in advance isn’t possible, we ask that you cancel as soon as possible to give your transportation provider time to adjust their schedule and serve other riders effectively.
Since A Ride There LLC is a marketplace, we do not control or process payments directly. However, we suggest the following fair cancellation guidelines for ALL transportation providers to consider:
Suggested Cancellation Policy for Providers:
Building a Relationship with Your Provider
Your transportation provider is more than just a driver — they are an independent business owner, using their own vehicles, working to build a successful service that meets your needs. By consistently booking with the same provider, you create an opportunity to build trust, reliability, and familiarity — ensuring a smoother experience over time.
While these suggested cancellation terms are designed to balance fairness, they also reflect the provider’s dedication to serving you well. Respecting their time helps them manage their business effectively and continue providing great service to you and others.
If you need to cancel, we encourage you to communicate it to your provider as soon as possible. Providers value loyal riders and are often willing to prioritize those who maintain consistent, thoughtful communication. Your support and understanding go a long way in helping your provider grow their business and provide the best experience possible.
Important Note:
Once your ride is paid, your transportation provider’s calendar is blocked for:
During this time, their calendar is unavailable for other bookings. Since A Ride There is not an on-demand service, providers may have other rides scheduled immediately after, which limits their flexibility for last-minute changes.
We encourage riders to plan ahead to ensure the best experience for everyone.
Q: What happens if disputes arise?
A: While A Ride There does not manage individual disputes, we will comply with the law regarding disputes and can remove providers from the platform if they violate legal standards or the platform’s terms of use.
If a provider operates with multiple drivers and one driver is requested to be removed due to a legal violation or investigation, if the provider does not comply, the entire company may be removed. However, the individual driver may reapply to A Ride There under their own name or business.
